Sarah Cole

Head of ESG and Research

Sarah Cole is Head of Research & ESG at CompassRock International, a firm that provides asset management and property management services to the rental housing sectors globally. Sarah is an experienced research manager with her involvement in real estate spanning two decades across both the residential and commercial sectors. Sarah takes the lead on research and ESG initiatives and is responsible for identifying best practice and evaluating macro trends affecting the real estate industry and how they may impact future market performance, as well as analysis of key market metrics and the comparative performance of different locations and sectors. Sarah is also Head of Research & ESG at Global Apartment Advisors (GAA), a consultancy firm focused on the rental housing sectors.

Previous Experience:

‍Manager of International Research, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC): In 2012, Sarah joined ICSC’s London office to establish and lead its European research initiatives, as well as to provide research support for the association’s advocacy efforts and manage the European Research Group – a specialist committee of approximately 50 real estate research professionals from across Europe.

Associate Director, Colliers International: In 2005, Sarah was headhunted by Colliers International, where she held the position of Associate Director focusing on the retail sector. Sarah led on a number of consultancy projects covering the entire UK and regularly authored market reports on the UK real estate market.

Research Analyst, Estates Gazette Interactive (EGi): Sarah began her research career in 2002 as an analyst at commercial property intelligence provider Estates Gazette Interactive and worked within the London Residential Research team.

Sarah holds an MSc degree in European Environmental Policy and Regulation and a BSc (Hons) in Geography, both completed at Lancaster University.
